The Power Generation Sales Proposal Specialist will develop project proposals and provide technical support for electrical contractors, engineering firms, and design build contractors. In this role you will also support project management with submittal packages.
Job duties:
- Develop and build strong, positive relationships with both existing and potential customers.
- Quote, follow up, and close sales transactions within assigned authority parameters, completing all required sales documentation.
- In collaboration with Territory Manager and customers, develop a project proposal package which adheres to project design and specifications. Product lines include but not limited to, Cat specified Retail and Large generator, and switchgear product lines.
- Utilize online construction and bidding services to identify project solicitations in the assigned territory for Power Generation equipment.
- Review engineering specifications and drawings to quote equipment that will meet the project requirements.
- Support the Territory Managers as well as customers by providing technical information, literature, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Update the Bid Calendar and the Pipeline as needed.
- Support Project Managers by assembling submittals, drawings and delivery information. Communicate project status to project team, including customers. Coordinate handoff between Sales and Product Support during delivery and commissioning of equipment.
- Learn about CAT and competitive products in order to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns.
- Assist in maintaining and updating account and opportunity information in CRM.
- Attend trade shows, sales meetings and conferences as required. Support project management with submittal packages.

The EPG Field Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing power generation related systems, generators, engines, transfer switches, UPS and switchgear systems. You will also handle fuel polishing and load bank testing systems as needed at the customer’s worksite to respond to provide an excellent customer experience.
Hourly Base Rate: $26.80 - $59.46 / hour

Job duties:
- Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on power generation assemblies, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and performing all critical repairs and adjustment
- Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed
- Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order
- Conduct generator pre-start and start-ups in accordance with the manufacturer checklist
- Use resistive load bank equipment for testing and repair of generators
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Knowledge of power generator applications and repairs
- Class A CDL required or ability to obtain CDL within three months of start date
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
- Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications.
- Ability to drive and valid CDL license required
